Makeup class
A 90-minute 1:1 lesson at our korean makeup salon: you learn the products and the order that suit your own face, then do it yourself. An interpreter can be added, which is why most students fly in from abroad.

Face shape, skin tone, pores and eye shape are diagnosed first, and the products and sequence are chosen for that face — not for a generic one.

The 3- and 5-session courses are half demonstration, half hands-on practice with feedback. You're free to take notes and photos at every step.

daylean sits on the 4th floor of 5-13 Sinchon-ro 4-gil, Mapo-gu — a five-minute walk from Hongik Univ. Station. Cream walls, a daylight lounge and separate makeup stations mean you can get ready in peace before a shoot or an event. Lead artist Ha-eun works 1:1 with Korean and international guests alike, and more than half of the bookings at this korean makeup salon come from overseas. Meine Freundin und ich waren hier, um uns für ein Hanbok Fotoshooting schminken zu lassen und wir waren beide total zufrieden. Wir haben vorher ein paar Inspirationsbilder gezeigt und das Make up wurde genau so umgesetzt, wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. Meine Freundin hat einen dunkleren Hautton und war besonders begeistert, dass ihr Hautton perfekt getroffen wurde. Der Ort ist auch sehr gut, denn das Studio liegt mitten in Hongdae und das Studio sieht sehr schön aus. Danke Daylean für das wunderschöne Make up und die tolle Zeit. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

The best makeup experience ever! I am writing this review because I am beyond satisfied with the service I received. From start to finish, the service was professional and very kind. What impressed me the most was how the artist carefully analyzed my face shape and skin tone. Instead of a "one-size-fits-all" look, they created a customized style that perfectly highlighted my best features. The contouring was spot on for my face shape, and the color palette they chose for my skin tone was incredibly flattering. I felt so beautiful and confident all day. this spot is lowkey my go-to every time i'm in korea. the vibe is super chill and funny, not one of those awkward silent makeup appointments. she always lets me take pics of everything she used after, which i'm obsessed with. if you want that clean, natural k-beauty look, she nails it every time. she's seriously so sweet, always takes care of me, and even puts me onto good cafes and food spots nearby.

I took a makeup lesson here. Instructor was great! She was very detailed about sharing her techniques to have the makeup appear natural. She also recommended products for me, where to get them, and alternatives in case I could not find the exact ones. She explained what she was doing step by step and took the time to let me take notes and pictures at each step. She really put in a lot of effort into the session and goes the extra mile! I was able to learn well :)

I visited this makeup studio for an important photoshoot, and the artist did an amazing job tailoring the look to suit my features and overall vibe. The base makeup was light and natural yet provided great coverage, lasting perfectly throughout the day without breaking down. My eyes were defined in a way that made me look great in every photo. Ha-eun was incredibly kind and had such a great sense of style — it made the entire experience even better :) I'll definitely be coming back next time.

We're at 4F, 5-13 Sinchon-ro 4-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It's about 350 m — five minutes on foot — from Hongik Univ. Station (Line 2, Gyeongui–Jungang, AREX), so you can go straight from this korean makeup salon to your shoot. AREX runs direct from Incheon Airport.

What are your hours? Can I book early in the morning?
We're open daily 09:00–15:30, and other times are available with an after-hours surcharge: +₩55,000 for a 06:00/06:30 start, +₩33,000 for 07:00/07:30, +₩22,000 for 08:00/08:30. Afternoons follow the same scale (16:00 +₩22,000 / 17:00 +₩33,000 / 18:00 +₩55,000).
How long does it take and what does it cost?
Detail Makeup is ₩159,000 for 40–60 minutes; Men's Makeup is ₩66,000 for 20–40 minutes. Essential hair styling is ₩39,000 for 20–40 minutes, and the bride-and-groom wedding shoot package is ₩330,000 for 120–150 minutes. Add-ons such as idol eye shading, under lash or waves run ₩11,000–₩22,000 each.
Is it comfortable for international visitors?
Yes — most of our guests come from abroad, and we work in English throughout. This page is available in Korean, English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese, and an interpreter (₩50,000) can be added to any makeup class.
How does the makeup class work?
It's a 90-minute 1:1 lesson. The single consultation class (₩260,000) covers face analysis, a demo and product recommendations; the 3-session (₩690,000) and 5-session (₩990,000) courses are half demo, half hands-on practice with individual feedback. A 120-minute PRO track for working artists starts at ₩650,000.
Can I book before a hanbok or profile photoshoot?
Absolutely — shoot-day bookings are one of the most common reasons people come to this korean makeup salon. Send your reference and we'll build the base and shading to match that tone, finished so it holds through the whole shoot.
